Patrick is an amazing musician. His performances are not only worth watching but worth watching again and again. His passion for the art comes through in everything he plays. There are people who can play and there are people who make their instrument sing. Patrick has the rare gift and talent to do both incredibly well. The DSO should put this guy in their lineup. He’s the real deal and a frontman in his own right.

I’ve toured all over North America with Patrick, and I’ve never met a stronger lead trumpet player nor a more dedicated professional musician. No-one else I’ve ever played with can match his strength, clarity and phrasing on the instrument, or his passion for excellence, and he’s a joy to work with. Great guy, great performer.

Patrick Hession is probably one of the best trumpet players on earth. There is no question that Patrick adds another dimension of tone, style and unique abilities to make anyhow better. We had Patrick as a clinician/performer at the 33rd Oneida Jazz Festival on March 5/6, 2020. While here he provided clinics and commentary to 28 bands. He had the ability to talk to elementary students all the way through to advanced high school groups. At the end of two long days, he lit up the crowd by performing with the Central Winds Jazz Ensemble. It is often hard to find the right combination between world class performer and an educator who can speak to students. Patrick Hession IS this kind of person. A true gentleman. A true performer.
