And the motive of this scholarship is to encourage female students (typically age 23 or older) so that they can enroll for associate, bachelor’s and master’s studies. Here a priority is given to the financially challenged women having young children.

Alpha Sigma Lambda Annual Scholarships

The Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society supports 12 adult meritorious learners with an annual scholarship of $3000 each so that the applicants can fulfil their dreams by getting into an associate or bachelor’s degree.

But there are some conditions that must be fulfilled by the applicants to attain this scholarship and those are as follows:

  1. Eligible candidates must attend an accredited college with an ASL Chapter.
  2. They will have to finish 24 semesters or 36 quarter credits.
  3. The applicants must hold a high score like 3.2 GPA or higher.
  4. And above all the applicants must exhibit a significant financial need.

Jeannette Rankin Scholarship

This is a scholarship of amount $2000 which is given by Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund (JRF).

This scholarship is reserved for the women of US who are financially challenged and who belong to the age group of 35 or older. And the mission of this scholarship is to improve the lives of these women through post-secondary education. 

An applicant must hold the following criteria to attain this scholarship:

  1. The applicant must be a woman and her age should be 35 years or above.
  2. She must be a permanent resident of the United States.

Ford Re-Start Program

This scholarship has been established by The Ford Family Foundation. And the motto of this scholarship is to encourage adults (of age group 25 or above) to begin or to restart a full-time post-secondary education.

Every year almost 46 applicants are selected from Oregon, California and Siskiyou County for granting this scholarship.

The amount of this scholarship varies from $1000-$25,000. Although there are some conditions to be fulfilled to achieve this scholarship and those are as follows_

  1. The applicant must be an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate student.
  2. The applicant must attend a university, a four-year college, or a two-year college.
  3. Applicant must score a minimum 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship is for non-traditional students who want to pursue career college training. The amount of this scholarship is $1000 and any qualified adult student who will attend a career college.

The eligibility requirements for this scholarship are as follows:

  2. He or she must attend a four-year college, two-year college or a vocational-tech school.
  3. The applicant must be at least 19 years old.
