Perry Montauredes - Voice Lessons

I consider myself very lucky to have found Perry. He encouraged me to work hard training my voice in an area that was always difficult for me and over time, I had amazing results! Perry has great skill, knows all the tips and techniques, is motivating, encouraging, and a warm, friendly teacher. He's my top choice for a vocal teacher and I recommend him hands down!

I considered my self just a songwriter before Perry took me on and helped me with instilling good habits and singing technique. I can proudly say I’m a SINGER songwriter now. Perry is a good teacher and person and really cares about my progress and I consider him a true friend. He is also a brilliant producer and master harmonizer and will shine up your songs in the studio. I’m so happy that I found Perry!

I started working with Perry in NYC in the 1990s. He was a very gentle and patient teacher with an enormous amount of talent, and he shared techniques that improved my singing voice exponentially. When I moved to Maryland, we stayed in touch - at first on the phone, and then later on Facebook. A couple of years ago, he let me know that he was available for voice lessons via Skype. I jumped at the chance to work with him again. The only possible caveat I saw in doing this was lag time. But Perry expertly resolved this issue by sending me a series of vocal warm-up mp3s he had prerecorded. It worked brilliantly. I did the warmups, and just by watching me over the webcam, Perry was able to observe my breathing technique and sound production. He would suggest tweaks to improve the quality of my tone and then physically show me how to achieve them. Honestly, with Skype lessons, the only real difference is that you are in different locations. Everything else is pretty much the same. Perry is an amazing teacher, and he is well worth learning from - no matter where in the world you live. I highly recommend him!

My daughter has been learning to sing with Perry for the past 6 months and I see a huge improvement in her vocal repertoire. Perry is positively encouraging with children and maneuver’s them to set high standards. I would highly recommend him if you are looking to improve your voice skills.

I’ve worked with Perry for almost 10 years as my producer and vocal coach. When I went to Perry for singing lessons, I hardly had a voice. I was loosing my voice from singing without technique and forcing it for years. With Perry, I regained my voice, but learned to sing with technique and relaxation. He not only helped me find my voice but also gave me more confidence to perform publicly and how to use my voice with various successful techniques unique to my voice. My range has grown as a singer and my head voice is stronger. All of this allowed me to then create an album under Perry’s direction and also have Perry produce the album musically. He is an expert in his field and a hidden gem of a teacher here in New Jersey.
