Covenant United Methodist Preschool & PDO

I have sent two children to Covenant PDO. I never have to worry if they're safe, due to the secure entrance on the side of the building; and I never have to worry if they are loved because everyone who works at this facility has my child and all the other children's best interests at heart all day long. The directors Marcy and Judy are true gems! When I drop my kids off here I feel like I am leaving them with a group of loving and capable family members who also teach them so much and prepare them for kindergarten along the way. The music programs during the year are a true highlight!

I drive all the way from midtown to Cordova for Covenant Methodist because it is by far the best PDO I have seen! Two of my nephews finished the program and were, by far, way ahead of the rest of their class in kindergarten. Kindergarten was a review for them and “too easy” if you ask them! They are structured and the kids learn tremendously. My daughter just turned four and knows the alphabet, can recognize letters, write her name, recognizes all her numbers, can add, and even say the pledge of allegiance. They have different letters of the week that include themes and even snacks that go along with the letter! My daughter loves all the different days and themes because there is always something for her to look forward to! It’s such a great school and they truly care. Classes are small and the teachers have been there for years!

We have know Thomas Appell for over 11 years, he has taught both of our children to sing. He is a fantastic singing teacher. You will find your own amazing singing voice when you train with Tom. Both of our children are now writing and performing their own music. Our son continues to train with Tom, finding even more perfection in his vocal technique. We highly recommend Thomas Appell to anyone who wants to sing!!

I have been working with Thomas for several years now both as a singer and a lyricist and the experience has been fantastic. Prior to working with Thomas, I was singing in a classical manner and had no clue how to modify my voice to sing contemporary pop music. I have always been impressed with his boundless enthusiasm and constant encouragement while I have mastered these vocal techniques. He is an outstanding teacher and an excellent music producer as well. His home studio is "state of the art" and recording with him has been exciting and fulfilling. I've been taking lessons from Thomas for the last 6 months, and have found his method to be challenging and yet fun. I've extended my vocal range quite a bit, and have learned a lot about how one's voice improves through his lessons. I've recently gone back and tried singing some songs I could never do before, and am having a much easier time with them! He gives honest feedback, but is always very encouraging and is incredibly knowledgable about music and singing. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

The moment I got to know about Maestro Goslin’s concert, I was all set to attend it and treat myself with a magical experience. I grew up listening to his radio and television appearances and seeing him in person was a lifetime opportunity. His fingers play piano in such a magical way. Looking forward to listen to him again.
