The University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is a well-funded research university in Southeast Asia with a strong culture of scholarship, and strategic collaboration with international institutions. UBD is committed to opening doors to the brightest students and postdocs to enrich their experience and equip them with the skills to maximise their talents. PhD level applicants in one of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Electroanalysis, Nanobiotechnology, DNA chip and Nucleic Acid Sensors, Immunosensors & Point of Care Devices. For admission in August 2023.

Benefits

Tuition fees include registration and acceptance fee.

A subsistence allowance of Brunei Dollar 500.00 or 1,500.00 per month for 36 months.

Economy class return air ticket.

Allowances for field research.

Applicants are also required to submit a detailed research proposal which is normally expected to include the following topics: proposed title; rationale; aims and methodology; literature review; preliminary bibliography; provisional timetable; provisional table of contents etc.
