Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) leading tampon brand, Tampax, believes that knowledge is power, the need for education is limitless, and everyone has a right to know their own body. Through the Flow It Forward project, Tampax is on a mission to end the misinformation surrounding health and period care and ensure equal representation and access to medical resources – starting with the Tampax Flow It Forward Scholarship Program, which was created to support the next generation of Black female doctors and healthcare professionals. This program will provide need-based scholarships of up to $10,000 to African American HBCU juniors pursuing healthcare careers, with a demonstrated interest in Black women's health. Applicants must have participated in a service project which benefits women within 12 months preceeding the application deadline, and must describe their participation in this project in their application essay.
Awards will be issued in the 2024-2025 academic year and may be renewed an additional year. Recipient contact information and application materials will be shared with the scholarship grantor.
