Sarah Stokes Piano And Voice Studio

I was sceptical about starting private voice lessons at first. So I did my research online and came across Sarah Stokes and decided to email her to ask about the lessons. She called me back the next day and left me a voicemail of which I returned. Right then and there I knew I wanted her as my teacher. She was warm and humble. Her laughter could light up the world. So I scheduled a time and date for her to examine my vocals....which I've never had any kind of training except for kindergarten choir. She was on point and pinpointed what needed improvement. I was amazed at what she knew. I decided then that I wanted to continue with her. Not only does she let you know where the approvement should be made, but she guides and encourages you as well!! Totally amazing!! And on top of that, her rates are by far unbeatable!! I wish I could give her 10 stars!!!

Our two daughters have been vocal students of Sarah Stokes for almost four years. Since beginning their training they have both experienced consistent progression in their skills. Their vocal strength and range improve with each passing year and that has translated into more prominent roles in their musical theatre productions. Our oldest daughter recently scored a "1" at UIL regional solo contest and will compete at UIL State Solo finals in May. She also competed in the nationwide Classical Singer Musical Theatre contest and advanced to nationals in Boston, MA. While our daughters certainly exhibit natural talent, we have no doubt that their ongoing growth and success as singers is a direct result of having Sarah Stokes as their vocal coach. To that end, both of our daughters are interested in pursuing the performing arts as careers and are considering attending college close to home specifically so they can continue under Mrs. Stokes' training. During the time Mrs. Stokes was our daughter's piano teacher we saw great progress. Starting from no experience or training, we witnessed her quickly pick up technique and begin playing songs that she enjoyed. She enjoyed it so much we rarely had to remind her to practice and she would typically practice beyond her prescribed time. She has retained much of what she learned and can still apply the music theory to her other pursuits. She looks forward to resuming her piano training when she is able.

I enrolled my daughter in Sarah Stokes' Music Studio for both Voice and Piano lessons. Sarah has a wonderful personality and developed a great repore with my daughter, all the while, using her incredible understanding of music to help my daughter improve in both the disciplines she was studying. Sarah systematically taught my daughter the foundational skills necessary to have a sustainable, beautiful voice; read music; and play piano; and then continued to build upon those skills. My daughter’s experience with Sarah has been amazing. We are very glad Sarah has been her teacher and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great voice and piano teacher.

My daughter has taken piano lessons with Sarah since she was 8 years old. She's an excellent teacher, patient, yet firm and kind.
