Jeffrey is a skilled guitarist and instructor. I highly recommend his services. He has the ability to see things quickly and he adapts his teaching to a students individual preference. For example, while he is schooled and skilled in theory he rolled with my desire to play chords and sing. Always willing to record guitar tracks of songs I'm learning which helps tremendously. His Allowing me to follow my passion made practicing easy and I'm coming full circle in realizing how important the fundamentals are.

Mr. Shapiro is a talented, versatile musician and an amazing teacher. I've been taking bass lessons for over a year now and been blown away by how quickly I've progressed thanks to him. I've found his teaching style to be very effective and he takes the time to listen to and figure out songs that don't already have a good tab. Mr. Shapiro is the guy to take lessons from if you want to become a better musician quickly and have fun with it.

Jeff provided me everything I needed to actually continue playing guitar after many years of picking it up and giving up on it. Immediately from the first lesson, he was concerned with me playing songs I wanted to play, and even took time to compose simplified versions of more complicated songs that I like just so I was playing it. Sure, we went over, and continue to go over, music theory and better understanding the guitar as an instrument, but he recognizes that if I'm not playing the type of music that inspired me to pick up the instrument in the first place, I'm not going to continue with it. After about a year I am feeling comfortable enough to start writing my own music, and Jeff is willing to change focus on a fly based on what interests me in a given week. I also have to mention price, because it is more than fair with how much work he puts into each lesson. I have never met with him and got the impression that he threw something together last minute. I highly recommend giving Jeff a chance, as he might be exactly what you need to finally start playing an instrument you'll love for a long time.

Jeffrey is one of the best teachers I've ever had (of any subject). He knows how to break down music theory and make anything that would normally be challenging for a beginner totally accessible. He also goes above and beyond to adapt any music you want to learn to play so that you have your own specially annotated sheet music to work with. I've never encountered someone so adept at tailoring lessons to the exact needs and wants of the learner! I'm so glad I chose him for my ukulele lessons. I strongly recommend Jeffrey if you're seeking a teacher who'll go the extra mile to help you make the progress you want.

Jeffrey is a highly talented multi-instrumentalist who also happens to be a great teacher! He approaches lessons in a way that is catered to the student - he'll help you figure out a path that is right for you. Everyone learns differently and Jeffrey is adaptable to many styles of learning. If you have been itching to pick up an instrument, it's never too late, and Jeffrey is your guy!
