The Best Elementary School in Ohio state THE HISTORY OF OLENTANGY LOCAL SCHOOLS In the early 1900’s one room school houses scattered among the landscape made up the local education system. Beginning in 1911, those schools consolidated into four K-12 facilities. Powell school was the first to open in 1911 followed by Hyatts in 1914, Berlin in 1915 and Orange in 1916. These were the only schools in the area until 1952 when construction began on one consolidated school located on Shanahan Road. The new school, Olentangy High School, allowed students in grades 1-8 to remain at their original school then come together for grades 9-12. In 1961 Liberty Union Elementary School was built as a junior high school for kindergarten, seventh and eighth grade students. The new school was built as a neighbor to the Olentangy High School on Shanahan Road and was open to students in 1963. In 1969 some major changes began when the Orange school closed and the Shanahan Road complex housed students in grades K-12 for the first time. In 1973, Berlin, Hyatts and Powell schools also closed bringing all of the students in the area to one general location on Shanahan Road. The connection between the Liberty Union Elementary School and Olentangy High School was completed allowing room for all students in one general campus. The district continued operating this way until 1990 when Olentangy High School opened on Lewis Center Road for students in grades 9-12. Since 1990 the district has experienced a tremendous increase in student enrollment and has grown to a total of 23 schools -15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a three high schools. Great dance school !! I m enjoying taking lessons here !!

Be ready to enter a world of magically fun! Fred Astaire Long Grove is a fantastic dance studio, with world class instructors and amazing staff. The studio is filled with the atmosphere of classic ballroom and spicy latin. My husband and I have taken lessons for a little over a year. We initially started thinking we'd take a handful of lessons for fun, then after a couple knew that we'd found a weekly date night activity! Beyond one on one instruction, we also love the group classes, letting us expand into other exercise, including ballet, jazz and the occasionally martial arts class.

I love taking dance lessons at this studio. The instructors and students make you feel like family. Along with the friendly atmosphere comes a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have been dancing here since 2005 and there are several more students who started shortly after me who are still here as well. The support I get from everyone encourages me to try things I never thought I could do both on the dance floor and off. No matter if you are looking to become a better social dancer, have a special danced choreographed or looking to compete, I highly recommend this studio.

I can't express how much I love taking dance lessons at this studio. The quality of dance instruction is amazing, with teachers from around the globe who are national and world champions. One of the qualities that make this studio stand out above others, however, is the way they make everyone feel like a part of a big family. You walk in, and everyone calls out "Hi!" and comes over to greet you and chat. The studio is a hub of community of friends where we come to dance, have weekly parties, get lots of exercise (did I mention the great benefits to your body and health?), and just plain laugh and have fun. Some of us go on to compete - we feel like stars from Dancing With the Stars! - and some of us just come to dance socially. I've been coming to this studio since 2007, and many of my original friends are still dancing, too. That's a strong testament to the teachers and management of Fred Astaire. If you're thinking of trying out ballroom, or want a never-to-be-forgotten wedding dance, or if you're just looking for something fun, I highly recommend coming to BG Fred Astaire. The moment I got to know about Maestro Goslin’s concert, I was all set to attend it and treat myself with a magical experience. I grew up listening to his radio and television appearances and seeing him in person was a lifetime opportunity. His fingers play piano in such a magical way. Looking forward to listen to him again.
