Cleveland Guitar & Drum Lessons

My daughter has been teaching herself to play guitar for about a year and a half, and a few months ago we decided it was time for lessons. As a professional musician myself (but not a guitarist), I have been very pleased with Faris as a guitar teacher for my daughter. He is very pleasant and polite, thorough, and consistent. As we just moved into the area, Faris was able to start with my daughter via Skype from our old address, and has been coming in person to our new home since we arrived. Each week’s lesson includes a review of homework, new material, and assignments for next time. He incorporates different playing elements (like rhythm, scales and melodic playing, chords and progressions) into each lesson, so they never spend too much time on a single topic (which could test a teenager’s span of attention). Faris is very patient, and makes expectations clear without “forcing” the issue. I would recommend Faris to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable teacher.

I've been taking drum lessons with Faris for about 8 months, in which time we've gone from basic beats to playing along to some of my favorite songs. Faris will tailor his lessons based on your taste in music while also teaching rhythms from all across the spectrum. He has a wide breadth of knowledge and experience from playing in his own band. I've had a great time learning drums from Faris and I look forward to much more!

Great lessons covering a variety of skills. I started out only knowing the strings on the bass guitar but Faris taught me some music theory, how to recognize scale shapes on the bass and after only a couple weeks, I was able to jam along with guitar and drums. I was only able to take lessons for a short while, but saw a lot of improvement and enjoyed every lesson. Faris is a great teacher and is very knowledgeable about music.

Mr Faris is a great teacher. He is highly skilled in multiple instruments. He teaches both of our kids, one learns drums and the other learns guitar. He has been teaching them for more than 3 years and we are very happy with him. He is very professional, patient, organized and flexible. He incorporates both of my kids interests and sometimes they have music sessions together. He is great with the kids and We highly recommend him.

Faris was a phenomenal guitar instructor and he provided me with valuable foundational knowledge about scales, theory, building chords, etc. The way he incorporates music theory into his lessons is very easy to understand and he reinforces those concepts by helping you put them into practice. He is also very understanding about scheduling, I am a college student and whenever a scheduling conflict occurred he was always willing to set up a different time later in the week. You receive a very knowledgeable teacher for a reasonable price.

The moment I got to know about Maestro Goslin’s concert, I was all set to attend it and treat myself with a magical experience. I grew up listening to his radio and television appearances and seeing him in person was a lifetime opportunity. His fingers play piano in such a magical way. Looking forward to listen to him again.
